Responsible Service Policy

Management, service staff and security personnel of the Ivory Tavern support the responsible service of alcohol at the venue. We will not allow any violent, indecent or quarrelsome behaviour on the premises. We seek to create an environment that may be enjoyed by all patrons.

We reserve the right to refuse service to those persons intoxicated or adversely affected by alcohol. We reserve the right to define ‘intoxication’ and ‘adverse affect’ for this person. Any such persons defined as above who do not leave the hotel when requested, commit an offence and are subject to an on the spot fine.

The management wishes to encourage patrons to enquire about our range of low and non-alcoholic drinks. All our staff are trained in responsible service and will always assist in advising of a safe transport option.

The Ivory Tavern supports the designated driver program, and will provide free of charge soft drink to any person that is defined as the designated driver.

We bring it to your attention that it is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to any person who is under the age of 18 years. We reserve the right to request proof of age of any customer.

Management, service staff and security personnel reserve the right to refuse entry to the tavern or refuse service to any patron at any time.
